Mrs. Ruby Blanks Deary, 85, of 1522 South Virginia, died yesterday, October 1, 1977. Services will be at 2 p.m. tomorrow at Blackburn-Shaw Memorial Chapel with the Rev. James Carter officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Mrs. Deary was born in Italy, Texas, March 4, 1892. She had lived in Amarillo 30 years. She was a member of Polk Street United Methodist Church and of U. D. C. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Merylene Sargent of Hedley and Mrs. Patsy Spier of Fort Worth, four sons, Leroy Blanks of Amarillo, Joe Blanks of Bushland, Don Blanks of Hedley, and Jack Blanks of Memphis; three sisters, Mrs. Rena Tarter of Amarillo; Mrs. Roberta Crow of Georgetown; Mrs. Ruth Robinette of California; two brothers, Ovie Sanford of Plainview and Bob Sanford of Pampa; 16 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
