An infant boy was the first child of my Great Aunt Truda Belle(Rose) Thompson and husband Leonard Coleman Thompson. I have searched the small cemetary and could not find an infant stone that bore the Thompson name, though there were a few there that had the inscriptions worn away. Over a hundred years have come and gone since Aunt Trudy's first child's birth and death, so it is entirely possible that the engravements have worn away. I met Aunt Trudy several times. Neither she or any of the other relatives ever mentioned her first born, so that memory was lost in her passing. They would have four more children to survive on in to adulthood and beyond.
