Debra "Deah Dame" was part of the successful R&B duo Damian Dame. Deah sang lead and background vocals and Damian did as well, in addition to writing the music. Damian Dame was the first act signed to LA Face records(founded by Babyface and LA Reid) in 1991. They had numerous hit singles including Exclusivity, When it Get's Right Down to It, and Gotta Learn My Rhythm.
They were in the process of recording a second album when Deah was tragically killed in a car accident on June 27,1994. Sadly Damian passed away as well excactly 2 years later on June 27, 1996 of colon cancer.
