Shelba Fay Cox, 87, passed away Tuesday May 8, 2007. He was preceded in death by his parents, Cicero and Bessie Gay Cox, brother, Brady Cox, and sisters, Hazel Scaggs and Izola Moye.
He is survived by: brothers, Elba Cox (twin), Archie Cox, Elwood Cox, all of Willis; sisters and brothers-in-law, Josephine Scaggs, Riner, Ovada and Marvie Weeks, Floyd, Agnes and Shelley Montgomery, Radford, special cousin, Bud Cox, Willis; special friends, Leslie Fisher, Riner, Paul Wade, Willis, Joe Reed, Willis.
Funeral service was held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday May 10, at Maberry Funeral Home Chapel, Floyd, with Rev. Dewayne Troutt, Rev. Harold Cox and Rev. Joe Cox officiating. Interment followed at Irenia Mayberry Cox Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Indian Valley Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 257, Floyd, VA 24091.
