Oscar Ahlemeier
TEFFT -- Oscar Martin Ahlemeier, 52, died unexpectedly Wednesday while vacationing in Borger, Texas.
A lifetime Tefft and Wheatfield area resident, he was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Oscar H. Ahlemeier. On Jan. 11, 1941 he married Sadie Strickland who survives.
He was retired from the Budd Co., Gary, and was a World War II veteran.
Survivors also include a son, L. Jon of Hebron; two daughters, Nancy Faith of Michigan City and Carol Ann Ahlemeier of DeMotte; three sisters, Lydia Dodrill of Washington state, Mae Carrigan of Illinois and Felinda Kennedy of New Palestine; and nine grandchildren.
Services 11 a.m. Saturday at Todd-Hughes Funeral Home, DeMotte; the Rev. Morgan B. Angliss officiating; burial San Pierre Cemetery; visitation 2 to 9 p.m. Friday.
