Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon for Edith Grace Barton who died April 30, 1959, at the age of 81. Mrs. Barton was born in the town of Owego Feb 21 1878 the daughter of William and Mary McClaine Hollenback. She is survived by two sons, Lewis Barton of Towanda PA, and Andre Barton, of Tioga Center, and five daughters, Mrs. Leona Wentworth, Jacksonville Florida, Mrs. Norman Shetler, Oneida, NY; Mrs. Noal Culver Barton, NY; and Mrs. Margaret Sherman, Binghamton. There are also 39 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren. Last rites were held from the Sutfin Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Charles Morrison officiating. Burial was in Tioga Cemetery.
