CHARLES BONIFIELD OBITUARY
Charles Marine Bonifield, son of Charles and Amanda Bonifield, was born near La Crosse, Missouri, Sept. 18, 1877 and passed away Sept. 24, 1940 at the age of 63 years and 6 days.
He was married to Miss Lizzie Vulgamore on Jan. 3, 1901. To this union two children were born, Mrs. E.M. Riley of Atlanta, and Charlie of La Plata. His wife preceded him in death July 29, 1906.
On Oct. 3, 1907 he was married to Miss Ora Susan Roberts. To this union three children were born, Lester, Mrs. Herman Spencer of Elmer, and Clara of the home.
He leaves to mourn his passing his wife and children; four grandchildren, Eugene and Dorothy Riley, Jean Bonifield, and Ronald Spencer; three sisters, Mrs. Tabbie Phillips of Kirksville, Mrs. Fred Bloss of Ottumwa, Iowa, Mrs. Etta Moore of Atlanta; and a host of relatives and friends. His parents and a brother, Willie, preceded him in death several years ago.
Funeral services were held at the Elmer Baptist Church, Thursday, Sept. 26, 1940. Burial was in the Elmer Cemetery.
