Mr. Branch was born April 21, 1925 in Ben Hill County, the son of Paul and Myrtice Branch. He was a co-owner of Branch Farms, with his two sons. Mr. Branch's military service included WW II U. S. Navy, GA National Guard and U. S. Army Reserves, retired Colonel. Mr. Branch served as State Representative, District 137 from 1979 to 1992. He was a Mason, Shriner, member of the American Legion and Boy Scout Council. Mr. Branch was a Founding Director of the Bank of Fitzgerald and served on the Board of Directors of the Colony Bankcorp. Mr. Branch also served on the ASCS Committee and the FHA Committee, Director of the Chamber of Commerce and District Soil and Water Conservation Supervisor. Mr. Branch was former manager of Kimball Dairy, Fitzgerald from 1949 to 1962. He was also a former owner and operator of Branch Oil Company of Fitzgerald.
