On 11 Sept. 1935 he married Vira Lorene Grantham in Callahan County, Texas. The couple had three children: Howard Riley in 1937, Bonnie Lois in 1940; and Thomas Ronnie in 1943. The couple divorced 24 Nov 1952 in Duval County, Texas. Note that the date of birth on Thomas' headstone conflicts with his Texas Birth Certificate which indicates that he was born on 28 Sep 1910. He was employed in the West Texas oil fields most of his life.
