Founder of Buddhism. He was born circa 563 B.C. in Nepal to Suddhodana, king of the Sakhyas, and Queen Maha Maya. He died circa 483 B.C. "After Buddha died his body was cremated and the ashes were put into a urn and divided among various kings from India and Sri-Lanka. Each of the kings put the ashes in giant pagodas that were built in memory of Lord Buddha. some of these Pagodas are taller than the great pyramids of Egypt some reaching over four stories. Some of Lord Buddha's remains can be seen in a highly guarded gold shrine in the New Delhi Museum in New Deli India."
