T/Sgt. Edsel Allen Jett 38025962 NBD, US Army. He was born on March 4, 1919, the son of Mr, and Mrs. George and Eva Jett,of Taylor, Texas. He attended Blackshear High School. He entered the Army, January 18, 1941 at the age of , at the time of his enlistment he was 6 foot 3 inches tall weighed 180 pounds had Black eyes and black hair. He trained at Ft. Huachuca, Ariz. He served in Africa. He was a Tuskegee Airmen and served in the 99th Fighter squadron, 332nd Fighter group. He drowned on July 27, 1943 while serving overseas at the age of 24. His body was returned to the United States in 1948. He was awarded European African Middle Eastern Theater of operations Medal, The American Campaign Medal,The Good Conduct Medal, and the World War Two Victory Medal.
