Mrs Eliza Jane Murray Allen, 76, widow of the late Joel Riley Allen, died Dec 12 1935 at the state hospital at Nevada where she had lived for many years.
The remains were brought to California and funeral services were held at the Williams Funeral home at 10:30am Sunday, the Rev T M Macdonnell officiating. Burial was at the Sappington cemetery south of California.
Mrs Allen was the daughter of Telithia Jane and Daniel Boone Murray and was born near McGirk Nov 6, 1859. She was married to Mr Allen May 5 1879. He died several years ago.
Three children were born to Mr & Mrs Allen. They are Mrs Belle Crawford and Mrs Birdie Christian, south of California, and Otto Allen of Odessa. There are 12 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
She is survived by 3 sisters and 3 brothers as follows: Mrs Tillie Frock, Mrs A M Parkes, Mrs Barbara Washburn, Will Murray, Lee Murray, and Tom Murray.
