Chavez died May 12 in Albuquerque. She was born October 25, 1955, in Grants.
Survivors include her husband, Albert R. Chavez of Grants; mother, Ethel Sandoval of San Mateo; sons, Toby Maritinez of Grants and Moises Martinez of Grants; step-son, Albert Chavez, Jr. of Grants; step-daughter, Amy Gonzales of Smith Lake; brothers, Sifredo Sandoval of San Mateo, Leo Sandoval of San Mateo, and Johnny Sandoval of Albuquerque; sisters, Lucia Martinez of Albuquerque and Sandra Pino of Los Chavez, NM; and 14 grandchildren.
Chavez is preceded in death by her father, Sifredo Sandoval, Sr.
Pallbearers will be Leo Sandoval, Johnny Sandoval, Sifredo Sandoval, Tommy Chavez, Gomer Chavez, and Jimmy Chavez.
