Cassidy, was 3, years, old,she was molested and then murdered. Her little body, was found floating in a farm pond off Poole Creek Road, in Eastern Jones, County,Ms by neighborhood searchers, on a chilly afternoon Feb. 7, 2004.
Her murder has never been solved.

Cassidy Sierra Whited, 3, of Laurel died on Saturday, Feb. 7, 2004, in Laurel. She is survived by her parents, Henry and Barbara Whited of Laurel; brother, Henry Whited Jr. of Ellisville; sister, Lisa Whited of Ellisville; paternal grandmother, Carolyn Whited of Springfield, Tenn.; paternal grandfather, Comer (Butch) Whited of Pullap, Wash.; paternal step-grandmother, Margo Whited of Pullap, Wash.; maternal grandmother, Marilyn Beasley of Laurel; maternal step-grandparents, Carl and Lorena Mannings of Ellisville; several aunts, uncles, cousins and other family members. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. today at Memory Chapel Funeral Home in Laurel. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Memory Chapel Funeral Home. Burial will be in Mill Creek Cemetery in Jones County. The Rev. Kenneth Harrison will officiate. A trust fund has been set up at The First Bank, 1945 Highway 15 North, Laurel, MS 39440 to help with funeral expenses. Memory Chapel Funeral Home, Laurel, is in charge of arrangements.
