Gregory Allen Glenn, 54, of Joliet died Friday, May 4th at his home. Greg was born November 20, 1952 in Clinton, Illinois to Robert E Glenn and Jeanne (Garrett) Glenn. He was a 1971 graduate of Newark High School and a 1973 graduate of Joliet Junior College with an associate degree in applied science and computer maintenance and electronics. He was employed by the Western Electric Company from 1973 - 1980. He then worked for the Tel-Dyne Pines to 1981 and then the Joliet Junior College from 1985 until he became disabled due to an accident in 2000.

He is survived by his son, Jonathan (Amelia) Glenn of Sheridan; his two grandsons, Caleb and Austen; his father and step-mother, Robert and Florine Glenn of Newark; and his brother, David (Joy) Glenn of Woodstock.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Jeanne (Garrett) Glenn in 1982.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 9th at the Gabel - Dunn Funeral Home, Ltd, 102 S. Johnson St, Newark, IL, 60541-0623, phone 815-695-5131. Interment will be at the Millington - Newark Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 - 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be David Glenn, Terry Gjerde, Eric Gjerde, Richard Gjerde, Josh Glenn and John Glenn. Memorials may be directed to the Boy Scouts of America, Scout Troop of your choice.
