MONTICELLO — Hilda Anderson. 87, formerly of 402 W. Marion St.,
Monticello, died at 7:15 p.m. Saturday in Miller's Merry Manor, Logansport,
where she had resided two and a half years.
Born Nov. 16, 1903, in White County near Idaville, she was the daughter
of Clifford and Flossie Hunt VanMeter. She was married April 5, 1924, to
John T. Anderson, who died Oct. 14,1968.
Surviving are two sons, Thomas Wayne, Monticello, and Dudley G., Rt.
1, Royal Center; one sister, Wanda "Dot" Felz, Monticello; six grandchildren;
four great-grandchildren; one step-granddaughter; three step-greatgrandchildren;
and three- step-great-great-grandchildren.
She was a member of Monticello Christian Church and a former member
of Burnettsville Christian Church.
She had lived in Monticello since 1968, coming from Burnettsville.
She was a cook at the Burnettsville School and also at the Twin Lakes
School in Monticello for several years.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Miller-Voorhis Funeral
Home, with the Rev. John Drexler officiating. Burial will be in Davis Cemetery in Burnettsville.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.
