Alverda M. Allen, 81, of Wellman died Saturday, December 16, 2000 in Parkview Manor, Wellman, following a lengthy illness.
A memorial service will be held December 28 at 1:30 P.M. in Peterseim Funeral Home with the Reverend Beth Miller officiating. The family will greet friends following the service. Burial will take place at a later date.
Born May 29, 1919 in Wellman she was the daughter of Paul and Edna (Simpson) Marek. She attended rural schools and worked as a nursing assistant in the Veterans Administration Hospital.
She was united in marriage to Gilbert Allen May 5, 1934 in Kahoka, Missouri. Mrs. Allen was a member of First Baptist Church, Wellman.
