--George D. Alexander, 80, died at his home in the Olive Hill Community suddenly Saturday morning.
--He was a life-long resident of the Olive Hill area, where he was a mail carrier for 46 years, prior to retiring 11 years ago. He was a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
--Funeral services will be today at 2:30 p.m. at the Olive Hill Cumberland Presbyterian Church with the Rev. John M. Williams officiating, assisted by the Rev. Charles McCaskey. Burial will bee in the Olive Hill Cemetery with Shackelford Funeral Home incharge.
--The body will be at the residence until time of services.
--The family asks that friends contribute to Olive Hill Cumberland Presbyterian Church rather than send flowers.
--Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Velma(sic) Qualls Alexander; two sons, Dr. Richard H. Alexander of Lenoir City and Glenn Alexander of Savannah; two sisters, Mrs. C. C. Hinkle of Pine Bluff, Ark, and Mrs. T. E. Harvey of Pine Bluff; four grandchildren.
