Edna Lee "Cookie" (Weathers) Lewis, age 90, a resident of Atoka for over 50 years.

BORN: October 1, 1910 at Wardville, Okla to William Ed and Alice (Featherston) Weathers.

PASSED AWAY: Friday, September 21, 2001 at Atoka Memorial Hospital.

AGE: 90 years - 11 months - 20 days

EDUCATION: Attended school and graduated from Savanna, Oklahoma High School.

MARRIED: Paschall "Pat" Harrington at McAlester, OK.
Later to Otis Lewis at Atoka, Okla.

OCCUPATION: Edna worked a number of years at the Atoka Bus Station and was a longtime restaurant worker in the Atoka area.

SURVIVED BY:
BROTHER: Buster W. Weather and wife Pauline of Cecil, AR.
NEICE: Marsha Elaine Lewis Scott and husband William of Atoka, Oklahoma.

PARENTS: William Ed and Alice Weathers
HUSBANDS: Pat Harrington in 1947 and
Otis Lewis in November, 1967.

PLACE OF SERVICES: Brown's Funeral Chapel ~ Atoka, OK

INTERMENT: Ashland Cemetery, near Stuart in Pittsburg County, Okla.

(footnote): Edna and my mother Ruth Turner were real good friends for many years and Edna's 2nd husband Mr. Lewis was a cab driver and my mom rode his taxi many many times.
I remember Edna and Arnold Ables another good friend to both Edna and my mom and he and Edna worked the museum and gift shop for many years at the old Atoka Bus Station.
She was a good woman.
