Actor, Television Screenwriter, Producer. He shall be remembered for playing 'Recruit Skolnick' in the TV comedy series "CPO Sharkey" (1976 to 1978). Born in Brooklyn, New York, to Jewish parents, he served with the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Following his return home, he studied Business at the University of Maryland and went on to work for an advertising agency, prior to pursuing his dream of becoming an actor. He initiated his career in the industry in TV commercials and local theater, prior to landing the role of "US Navy Recruit Skolnick" on the TV series "CPO Sharkey", which starred Don Rickles. He had additional TV credits with "Rhoda,' "The Love Boat,' "Fantasy Island" and "Eight is Enough." His film credits include "Love at First Bite" (1979), "The Jerk" (1979) and "Shoot the Moon" (1982). He would go on to write and produce episodes of "The Cosby Show," as well as other programs. He died of complication from esophagus cancer.
