MARGARET M.(ROARK) ADLER 88 of Anthon passed away on Tuesday, May 30, 2006. Services: Friday June 2, 2006 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Anthon with the Rev. Terry Roder officiating. Margaret Minnie Adler was the daughter of Edward and Lena (Petersen) Roark of Correctionville, Iowa and was born on December 2, 1917. The family lived near Correctionville until moving to a farm near Anthon. Margaret graduated from Anthon High School in 1936. She furthered her education by attending Westmar College in Le Mars, Iowa. She then taught country school. On Feb. 8, 1945, Margaret was united in marriage to Kenneth Frank Adler in Anthon. The couple farmed and raised their family near Anthon. Kenneth passed away on September 20, 1986 and Margaret moved into Anthon the following year. Her home since 2003 had been at the Correctionville Nursing and Rehab center. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She enjoyed visits from her grandchildren and great-grandchildren immensely and also enjoyed and kept busy with crocheting, working on crafts and reading. Survivors include three daughters and their husbands, twin daughters, Joan and Lewis Johnson of Valentine, Neb., and Judy and Lawrence Lansink of Ida Grove, Iowa, and JoAnn and Torrey Notz of El Dorado, Ark.; a son and his wife, Phillip and Deanna Adler of Anthon; 10 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; 15 great-step-grandchildren; three great-great-step-grandchildren; a sister, Juanita Rickabaugh of Belvedere, Illinois; and two sisters-in-law, Patricia Roark of Anthon and Margaret Roark of Emmetsburg, Iowa, and many nieces and nephews. Margaret was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, one grandson; two brothers, Raymond and Richard both of Anthon; a brother-in-law, Everett Rickabaugh; and a son-in-law, Raymond Nollett.
