Willie Abbott, 85, died Thursday, November 7, 2013, at the North Mississippi Medical Center Hospice. She was born September 25, 1928, to Chester D. Wilemon and Lena Bell Dulaney Wilemon. She was a member of the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church and a homemaker.
Services will be at 11 a. m. Saturday, November 9, at the McNeece – Morris Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Billy Burleson and Bro. Jackie Gray officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
Survivors include one son, Wayne Abbott (Delphine) of Peppertown; two daughters, Donna Jo Boyd (Jerry) of Junction City, Kansas, and Barbara Abbott of Fulton; one brother, Alfred Wilemon (Pam) of Fulton; one sister, Becky Weaver (Sidney) of Hatley; three grandchildren, Phillip David Boyd, Nomi Boyd, and Doyle Higgins; three great grandchildren, Damian Davis, Laniah Davis, and Patrick Higgins.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Willis Abbott, who died in 1993; five brothers; one sister; and her parents.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p. m. Friday at McNeece-Morris Funeral Home.
