Bobby Ball, 71, of Whitney, died Thursday, April 26, 2007, at his residence. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Saturday, April 28, 2007, at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors, Hillsboro. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., Sunday, April 29, at the funeral home Chapel with Rev. Keith Manning officiating. Interment will follow in Ridge Park Cemetery.
Bobby Lee was born in Hill County, Texas, to the late George and Clara (Bell) Ball. On November 30, 1985 he married Dianne Pierce in Whitney. He was an avid reader and collector of small cap guns and old toy cars. Bobby was a home builder who loved to remodel older homes. He was of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Kathleen Ball; sister, Mary Jeanett Eppler; brother, Doyle Glenn Ball; and grandsons, Dewayne Ball and Canaan Ball.
Survivors include his wife, Dianne Ball, of Whitney; sons: Hank Ball and wife, Sherri, of Houston, Randy Ball and wife, Ann, of Itasca, Tom Ball and wife, Janie, of Whitney, Andy Ball and wife, Elizabeth, of Whitney, Eric Ball and wife, Elaine, of Argyle, TX, Kevin Chupik and wife, Phillis, of West, and Jason Chupik, of Laguna Park; daughters, Becky Henderson and husband, Waylon, of Clifton, and Doreen Jessup, of North Carolina; 19 grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; brothers, T. J. Ball and wife, Bettie, of Waxahachie, and George Ball and wife, Lynda, of College Station; other relatives and many friends.
