Connie Tingle Pearson, 40, of Louisville, passed away Monday, January 17, 1983 at the Suburban Hospital, Louisville, after a short illness. She was employed by the Courier-Journal, where she had worked as an administrative secretary for 20 years in the Features Department.
Mrs. Pearson was the daughter of Maude Louise Vaughn and the late Chester Tingle. She was the widow of Van Pearson, who preceded her in death in 1971. They had two children, Van Eric Pearson, age 19 and Melanie Lynn Pearson, age 13, who resided with their mother. Her other survivors include her mother: Maude Louise Vaughn, Eminence, formerly of Campbellsburg; three sisters: Patty Toomes, Sherry Dean Coleman and Vickie Smith, all of Louisville; two brothers: Edward Vaughn, Louisville and Kevin G. Vaughn, New Castle; two aunts: Mrs. Billy Forquer, Richmond and Mrs. Reva Supplee, Carrollton; and one uncle: Courtland Pyles, Campbellsburg.
Funeral services were held from Pearson's Funeral Home, Louisville, on Wednesday, January 19th at 1 p.m. Her body was laid to rest in Memorial Gardens, West in Louisville by the side of her late husband. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Frank Russell Bennett, Louisville. Graveside services were officiated by Mrs. Pearson's nephew, Rev. Musial Pearson of Pleasureville.
