Erie "Millie" Barnett, 65, died July 16, 1990 at the St. Johns Mercy Hospital in St. Louis. She was born Jan. 20, 1925 in Iberia to Walter and Ida Humphrey Whitaker. On July 20, 1941 she was married in Iberia to Elzie Barnett who survives.

Mrs. Barnett was a member of the Cuba (Mo.) United Methodist Church and Cuba Eastern Star Chapter 398.

Surviving in addition to her husband are a son, Jeffrey Barnett; two daughters, Becky Miller and Kathy Kunz; her mother, Ida Whitaker; a brother, Spurgeon Whitaker; a sister, Anna Allen; and five grandchildren.

Eastern Star Services were held Wednesday, July 18 at the Britton Funeral Home in Cuba. Funeral services were held last Thursday at the Brays Advent Christian Church near Iberia with the Rev. Curt Schuermann officiating. Burial was in the Union Cemetery near Iberia.
