Ronald J. Pacheco of Somers, CT, passed away on March 3, 2018 at the age of 77. He was born and raised in New Bedford, MA, graduating from Holy Family High School. He went on to graduate from University of Massachusetts in Dartmouth and received his MBA from Monmouth University in W. Long Branch, N.J. He proudly served in the National Guard in Jersey City. Ron was a respected professional in the Textile Industry for 45 years (30 of which were spent commuting to Manhattan from his home in Red Bank, NJ), a profession that gave him the opportunity to travel throughout the world and work with many major retailers. He was predeceased by parents Joseph and Irene (Menard) and sister Theresa. He is survived by Joan (Lupinski) his wife of 51 years and children, Joseph of NYC and Emily of Somers, he is also survived by two brothers both of New Bedford, John (Sharon) and Pete (Claire). "Uncle Ron" to many nieces and nephews, he had a passion for cooking, history and, of course, the Yankees. He was a member of the American Legion, Buck-Dubiel Post No.l 101, in Somers, Conn. His family will receive friends on Sat., March 10 from 1 - 4 p.m. at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Rd, Enfield, CT. Interment will be private at a later date.
