EARLINE BOGAN BELL, 66, of Memphis, retired manager for Internal Revenue Service, died Monday, April 9, 2007 at St. Francis Hospital. She received The Albert Gallatin Award from the Internal Revenue Service. This is the highest civilian honor given by the Department of the Treasury. She graduated from Booker T. Washington High School and LeMoyne-Owen College; she also attended U.T. School for Health Sciences. Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. Sunday, April 15, and from 9:30 a.m. until service time at 12 Noon, Monday, April 16, all held at Golden United Methodist Church, 4028 Neely Road. Burial will be in West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery. She leaves her husband, Carl Bell; two daughters, Rev. Dr. Raponzil Laverne Drake of Lincoln, NE and Sharon Lynn Lawrence (Joseph Rodney) of Kernersville, NC; a stepdaughter, Tanya R. Bell (Dorian) of Portland, OR; two sons, Roderick Earl Drake and Clifton Eddie Drake III, both of Memphis; three sisters, Marjorie Moore, Velma Rhodes, and Rev. Dr. Vera Lee Mays, all of Memphis; seven grandchildren, Elizabeth Ashley Stockard, Carroll Christina Stockard, Paul Erskine Drake Stockard, Harold Earl Johnson (Candace), Christopher Rodney Lawrence, Ebony Nicole Drake, and Clifton E. Drake IV; one great-grandson, Elijah Earl J. Johnson; five sisters-in-law, Camille Gray, Janice Roberson, Lisa Sampson, Jessica Jones, and Geraldine Baines.
