Civil War service - Enlisted 5 Aug 1862, age 26. Mustered into Company f, 105th Ohio Volunteer Infantry as a Sergeant on 21 Aug 1862 at Camp Cleveland, Ohio. He mustered out on 2 June 1865 at Camp Dennison, Ohio on orders of the War Department. On 28 Feb 1885, he filed an invalid's pension, which was granted on Certificate #336149. His widow Amelia filed for a pension on 21 April 1910, which was granted on Certificate #703836. In 1880, he was a laborer. Husband of Amelia.
