Gary Keith Walker was the oldest of three sons born to Russell Keith and Wanda Jean (Mathias) Walker. He married my sister, Janice Kay Sullivan on January 6, 1979. This is his obituary, written by his wife, from the Indianapolis Star dated August 9, 2005:

Gary K. Walker, 52, of Indianapolis, died on Saturday, August 6, 2005. Born in Chicago in 1952 to Keith and Wanda Mathias Walker, he attended North Central High School, where he graduated in 1971. Gary graduated from Indiana University with the Class of 1976. During his college years, he was a member of Theta Chi Fraternity, serving as social chairman, rush chairman, pledge marshall and president. Gary was an avid bicycle rider, competing for Theta Chi in the Little 500 bicycle race during his undergraduate years and the Hilly Hundred in Monroe County for more than a dozen years. He also was a frequent participant in the Mini-Marathon in Indianapolis, as well as a well-known local softball player, having played with the same amateur softball team for more than a quarter-century. Gary was a lifelong member of St. Luke's United Methodist Church. He worked as a manufacturer's representative throughout his professional career, starting with the Walter W. Bieberich Company following college graduation until 1989. He then served as principal and president of Industrial Sales and Engineering in Indianapolis.

Survivors include his wife, Janice K. Sullivan Walker; children, Nathaniel K. "Nate", Natalie K. and Russell K. "Russ" Walker; brothers, David K. (Kim Timmis) and Steven K. (Susan) Walker; his mother and stepfather, Conrad and Wanda Walker Zamka; and stepbrothers, Conrad and George Zamka.
