The son of Joe C. and Mary Etter (Cravens) Bryant. Marvin was my mom's half-brother. She never knew him because he died two years before she was born, but family history passed onto me was that Marvin was murdered in Chicago for his insurance money which apparently was collected by a co-worker. The police ruled it an accident. I've not been able to verify the story, but my cousin heard it the same way. Marvin's mother, Mary Etter Bryant, his grandparents, Sylvester and Angeline Cravens, and his sister, Emmer Bryant Bottom, are all buried here.
