Sam C. Luce, 82, of Lindale died Wednesday afternoon in a Tyler hospital after a short illness.


Funeral services are pending with Ed B. Caudle Funeral Home.


Mr. Luce was a Baptist and an American Legion member.


Survivors include two sons, Claud Luce and James Luce, both of Tyler; two daughters, Mrs. Jewell Dunn of Denton and Mrs. Madeline Wood of Lindale ; one brother, Joe Luce of Tyler; two sisters, Mrs. Susie Limerick of Tyler and Mrs. Lee Allen of Houston; 12 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
