Beloved daughter, sister, granddaughter and friend to many, Chelsea has been taken home to be with her Heavenly Father with whom she shared a personal relationship that was evident by the number of lives she touched. She has many friends in Bakersfield where she attended school through the ninth grade at Bakersfield Christian High School. She and her family moved to Arroyo Grande on California's central coast in 2004. A senior at Nipomo High School, Chelsea had earned enough credits to graduate mid-year. She was attending classes at Cuesta College while preparing to graduate with her high school classmates in June, 2007. Her career ambition was to be a primary school teacher. She also was employed at Alex's BBQ in Shell Beach where her joy of living was felt by her coworkers and customers fortunate enough to be served by Chelsea. As seen by the outpouring of emotion and the large number of visitors and phone calls during her brief hospital stay, Chelsea had a positive effect on many people. She was compassionate always looking for ways to help other people and was known for her grand heart and friendly giving ways. Always happy and full of joy, Chelsea was a spontaneous, strong-willed girl sometimes mischievously teasing those around her. She was always very passionate about the things she loved. Chelsea was graced with a beautiful singing voice and was a talented pianist. She loved spending time with her family and friends, horses, her dogs, Tanner and Daisy, traveling, driving on the Pismo dunes...and, of course, shopping. Chelsea will be waiting in Heaven to be joined by her parents, Bob and Roxanne Holston; her brother; Chris; and sister, Ciara; her grandparents, Dr. R.D. and Marlene Larson from Fullerton, CA. Other surviving family members are Uncle Kirk and Julie Larson of Fullerton; Aunt Michelle and Mark Dolph of Placerville, CA; Uncle Dennis Holston of Santa Maria, CA; Aunt Carolyn and Dave Whitehead of Anaheim Hills, CA. Many cousins, too, will miss Chelsea's beautiful smile and loving touch. A memorial service celebrating Chelsea's life was held April 14th, at New Life Community Church of the Nazarene, Pismo Beach, California. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Youth Center Building Project at New Life Community Church in Chelsea's honor. A graveside service was also held at Loma Vista Memorial Park, in Fullerton, CA on Apr 11, 2007. Published in the Bakersfield Californian Apr 10, 2007
