OBITUARY:

Fall Fatal to Mrs. Fowler

Mrs. Wesley J. Fowler, 50, 550 10th Ave S., died at 3:30 this morning at Riverview Hospital of injuries received in a fall downstairs in her home about 4 o'clock Monday afternoon.

She suffered a basal skull fracture when the railing broke as she ascended the stairs. An ambulance was summoned to take her to the hospital. She never regained consciousness.

Funeral services have been arranged for 2 o'clock Friday afternoon at the First Methodist Church with the Rev. Milton C. Feldt officating. Mrs. James Miller will be in charge of Eastern Star rites. Interment is to take place in Forest Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Fowler, the former Fern Ellen Knutson, was born at Dexterville on Oct. 10, 1903, the daughter of Mrs. and Mrs. Andrew Knutson. She married Wesley J. Fowler at Mauston on Jan. 21, 1925. They came here 27 years ago. Mr. Fowler died on July 25, 1953. Her parents and two brothers also preceded her in death.

She is survived by one son, Wesley D. Fowler, Wisconsin Rapids, two brothers, Roy Knutson, Port Edwards, and Harold Knutson, Tomah; one sister, Mrs. Tony Seebruck, Port Edwards, and two grandchildren.

Mrs. Fowler was a past worthy matron of Rainbow Chapter, Order of Eastern Star, and past president of Buckley - Baldwin Auxiliary, Veterans of Foreign Wars. She also held membership in the Royal Neighbor Camp at New Lisbon.

Friends may pay their respects at the Baker Mortuary from 6 o'clock Wednesday evening until noon Friday and at the church from 1 o'clock until time of sevices.
