Laura E. Cisewski, age 90, formerly of Rosholt, passed away Saturday April 7, 2007 at Iola Living Assistance.

Funeral services will be held at 11AM Wednesday at Saint Adalbert Catholic Church in Rosholt. Rev. Marcin Mankowski will officiate. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may gather to share memories from 4-8PM Tuesday at the Shuda Funeral Chapel-Stevens Point and again from 10AM until the time of service Wednesday at the church. The Saint Adalbert Rosary Society will combine with the general rosary at 7PM Tuesday at the funeral chapel.

Laura was born August 9, 1916 in the Town of Alban, the daughter of the late Anton and Clara (Windorf) Simonis. She graduated from Rosholt High School then received her teaching certificate from the Stevens Point Teaching School. Laura taught at several country schools. She married Joseph Cisewski on February 3, 1945 at Saint Adalbert Catholic Church. He died March 28, 1999. The couple resided in Rosholt where Laura last taught at Saint Adalbert School. Laura was s member of the Saint Adalbert Rosary Society and the Sacred Heart League.

Survivors include one daughter Bernice Ostrowski-Milwaukee, one son Tony (Diana) Cisewski-Iola, five grandchoildren: Laurie (Rick) Diny, Sara (Tom) Stauber, Matthew Ostrowski, Dawn (Bob) Coen and Julie (Dusty) Meeker; six great grandchildren: Emily, Jacob and Caleb Diny, Zoe Stauber and Bradley and Sean Coen; and one brother Roy (Theresa) Simonis. She was preceded in death by a son Thomas a son-in-law Lenny Ostrowski one sister and two brothers.
