Son of Charles James Andrews and Jean Cooke Andrews, brother of Dr. Mason Andrews. Killed in Italy while serving with the American Field Service attached to the Britsh 8th Army. Washington & Lee University, B.A, 1937. Yale, School of Fine Arts, M.F.A, 1940. Instructor in English, Norfolk division College of Willian and Mary, 1940-42. Author of a play, "The Poet Died in Bed," 1940. Unmarried.
