BISHOP, DOROTHY V., 91, died Thursday, April 12, 2007. She was the former co-owner of the old Bishop Motor Company and a former greeter at Wal-Mart. Dorothy was a member of the Scottsburg United Methodist Church and the Scott Memorial Hospital Guild. Survivors include three children, Sandra S. Swope and Ronald E. and Jerry Bishop; eight grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Funeral service: 11 a.m. on Saturday at Collins Funeral Home with burial in Scottsburg Cemetery. Visitation: 4- 8 p.m. Friday and after 9 a.m. Saturday.

Dorothy V. Bishop, age 91, of Scottsburg, Indiana died Thursday, April 12, 2007 at Scott Memorial Hospital. She was born August 13, 1915 in Scott County, Indiana, the daughter of the late Amzy and Myrtle (Kennedy) Boyd. Dorothy was married to Alvin W. Bishop, who died Jan. 14, 2000. Dorothy was the former co-owner of the old Bishop Motor Company in Scottsburg, Indiana. She was a former employee of the old Indiana Army Ammunition Plant in Charlestown, Indiana and a former Wal-Mart Employee. Dorothy was a member of the Scottsburg United Methodist Church and she was a member of the Scott Memorial Hospital Guild. Survivors include a daughter: Sandra S. Swope of Scottsburg, Indiana; two sons: Ronald E. Bishop of Scottsburg, Indiana & Jerry Bishop of Deputy, Indiana. Dorothy is also survived by eight grandchildren, several great grandchildren and several nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by a grandson: Kenneth Scott Zollman; a brother: James Boyd and a sister: Elva Sablick.
