Marlow - CALLIE BOATMAN, 95, of Marlow, died Wednesday, July 23, 2003, in Duncan Regional Hospital.
Service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in First Christian Church in Marlow with Jack Graves and Kent Strahan officiating. Burial will be in Marlow Cemetery under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home.
Callie was born May 6, 1908 in Pauls Valley, to Wiley and Ida Mae Corley Sherwood. She married James Henry Boatman on Nov. 12, 1932 in Ryan, and he preceded her in death on March 18, 1972.
She lived in the Marlow area for most of her life and was a member of First Christian Church.
She was a homemaker and loved to make quilts. She enjoyed cleaning her home and attending church.
Survivors include three sons and two daughters-in-law, Harvey and Rita Boatman of Duncan, Melvin and Betty Boatman of Snyder, Texas, and Bill Boatman of Waldorf, Md.; a daughter and son-in-law, Lorene and Charlie Roach of Lawton; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother; two sisters; a grandson; and a daughter-in-law, Hazel Boatman.
Bearers will be Jack Paryman, Tom Travis, Richard Scruggs, Chuck Roach, Terry Rubena and Tracy Graham.
