Mrs. Abram Lyons Dies, 25 Hours After Husband
Mrs. Mary Lyons, 74, died today at 9:10 in her home in Hookstown, about 25 hours after the death of her husband, Abram Lyons, whose death occurred Friday morning. Although in poor health for several months, Mrs. Lyons completed arrangements Friday for the funeral of her husband. She complained of pains about her heart when she retired Friday night. She awakened about 5 a.m. again ill and when grew serious Dr. Milton Wolpert was called from Chester. She died before his arrival, apparently from a heart attack. She was a member of the Hookstown Free Methodist church. The couple leaves four sons, Harry Lyons and Clifford Lyons of Hookstown, Roy Lyons of Beaver and Charles Lyons of Monica, Pa.; four daughters, Mrs. Bertha Gillespie of Hookstown, Mrs. Armenia McHugh of Cleveland, Mrs. Jeanette Cundiff of Chester and Miss Emma Lyons at home, while she leaves three sisters, Mrs. T. S. Campbell of Chester, Mrs. Rosa Campbell of East Liverpool and Mrs. Maggie McLaughlin of Hookstown; three brothers, J. L. Allison of Hookstown, and Bert Allison and George Allison of Chester. They had 14 grandchildren and four great - grandchildren. Double funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. in the Hookstown church by Rev. R. N. Large, the pastor, and Rev. Walter Brown of the Chester Free Methodist church. Burial will be in Mill Creek cemetery. Friends may call at the home.
