Eloise Rue Farrell, 87 of Newburgh, Indiana, passed away Wednesday, January 31, 2007 at Angel River Health & Rehabilitation Center. She was born May 4, 1919 in Grandview, Indiana to Bird and Dona (Sauter) Rue.

She graduated from DeVry Beauty School and operated her own beauty shop for over 50 years. Eloise's greatest love was spending time with her family and friends. She also enjoyed quilting with her church family and friends. She may have been best known for the love and joy she shared while playing the organ at Epworth United Methodist Church for over 53 years.

Eloise was a devouted spouse, beloved mother, and cherished grandmother and great- grandmother. She is survived by two daughters, Coleen Skelton and her husband, Tom of Ft. Branch, Colleen Schmidt of Boonville; grandchildren, Richard Ingler and his wife, Reagan, Dan Ingler and his wife, Allie of Newburgh, T. J. Skelton and his wife, Emily of Otwell, and Katie (Skelton) Burch and her husband, Jarrod of Beaver Creek, Ohio; four great-granddaughters, Sydney, Lainie, Taylor, and Abby; sister, Agnes Weatherholt of Rockport; and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Jay L. Farrell in 1980 and her son-in-law Sherm Schmidt in 2002.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Bell Oaks Terrace and Angel River Health and Rehabilitation Center for all of their loving care.

Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, February 5, 2007 at the Epworth United Methodist Church 4455 Epworth Rd. Newburgh, Indiana, Pastor Mike Monahan will officiate. Burial will be in the New Hope Cemetery, Grandview, Indiana.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, February 4, 2007 at Titzer Family Funeral Homes ~ Simpson Chapel 510 W. Jennings St. Newburgh, Indiana and at the church on Monday 9:30 a.m. to time of service.
