WEST BROOKLYN - Louise R. Bialas, 87, of West Brooklyn, died Friday, March 29, 1996 at Rockford Memorial Hospital in Rockford.

She was born July 11, 1908 in Douglas County, S.D. to Alfred and Louise (Krouse) Kretschmer. She married Willie "Bill" P. Bialas on May 11, 1932 in Douglas County, S.D.

She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Rochelle.

She was preceded in death by a sister and a great-granddaughter.

Survivors include her husband of West Brooklyn, three sons, Herbert (Billie) Bialas of West Brooklyn, Lloyd (Linda) Bialas of West Brooklyn, and Gene (Joyce) Bialas of Rochelle; one daughter, Darlene (Robert) Johnson of Steward; three brothers, Leonard (Florence) Kretschmer of Earlville, Alfred (Ada) Kretschmer of Corsica, S.D., and Otto Kretschmer of Sublette, 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at Faith Lutheran Church with the Rev. Garry Briesacher officiating. Visitation will be held Sunday from 4 to 7 at Unger-Horner Funeral Home in Rochelle. Burial will be at Trinity Memory Gardens in Rochelle.

A memorial has been established to Faith Lutheran Church Building Fund.
