Kathryn, a resident of Blue Road, Monmouth passed away at CMMC with her loving family at her side, after a courageous 13 year battle with breast cancer.

She was born in Lisbon Falls, the daughter of Carleton L. and Elaine F. (Tibbetts) Merrill. She attended school in Durham and was a graduate of Brunswick High School.

On July 3. 1989, she married Robert T. Rundstrom Sr. in Greene, where she lived and worked for several construction companies in town. She also worked for Goe. Ferris Jr. doing prep work for painting.

Kathy was a member of Greene Fire and Rescue, working as a first responder and also for Tupper Ambulance Service of Lisbon Falls.

The loves of her life were her children and grandchildren. She was an avid doll collector and enjoyed camping, horseback riding, fishing and boating.

She was a caring, compassionate person and through her life helped many people and animals in need

She is survived by her parents of New Gloucester; her husband. Robert Sr.; a son, Matthew Thompson and his wife, Elizabeth, of Monmouth; three daughters, Sarah and Jessica Thompson of Monmouth and Laura Bradman and her husband, Donald, of Lewiston; a stepson, Robert Jr. of Canton; five grandchildren, Brenton and Alyssa Thompson, Damian Dunlay. Kala-Lynn and Katelyn Valliere; a sister, Karen Bartlett and her husband, Scott, of New Gloucester; five bothers, Brian Merrill and his wife, Pamela, of South Casco, Richard Merrill and his wife, Betty Presnell, of Newtown. Conn., Peter Merrill and his wife, Mabel, of Mexico, Stephen Merrill and his wife, Guylaine, of Lisbon and David Merrill and his girlfriend, Geray Thompson, of Poland; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Kathy will be deeply missed but always lovingly remembered.

At her request a private family service was held Friday, Sept. 8, at Wilson Funeral Home, 24 Shaker Road, Gray. Interment immediately followed in Lower Gloucester Cemetery, New Gloucester. If desired, contributions in her memory may be made to the Bennett Breast Care Center at CMMC, 12 High St., Lewiston, ME 04240.
