George E. Musgrave III, 64, of Barberton, passed away March 24, 2007. George was born in Akron on November 26, 1942. He was highly accomplished in archery, having won the national bowhunting championship in 1977, the world crossbow championship in 1986, and multiple state archery titles. In 1973, he was the first person to shoot a perfect score at the Goodyear Hunting and Fishing Club. George enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid deer hunter. He was also a talented carpenter and craftsman. George was preceded in death by his father, George E. Musgrave II and son, Jerremy Musgrave. He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Ann Musgrave; mother, Eleanor Elsen; children, Kathy (Mike) Yocum, Christine (Morgan) Gonzales, Lisa (Robert) Bolton, Cliff (Kim) Musgrave, Nancy (Chris) Limmer, Barbara Musgrave, and Melissa (Dan) Beaver; foster son, Jeff Fisher; siblings, Karen (Don) Reed, Ron (Robin) Musgrave, Judy (Terry) Merritt, and Linda (Ken) Sharp; fifteen grandchildren and one soon to be born; and one great-grandchild. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. with visitation from 11-1 at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd. Interment at Crown Hill Cemetery.
