Mae Goldie (Simmons) Moorer, age 70 of Milford, CT, departed this life St Vincent's Medical Center, Bridgeport, CT.

Mae was born in Jedburg, SC to the late Henry Nathaniel and Elizabeth (Black) Simmons. She had been a resident of Connecticut for 51 years. Mae was a 2002 retiree of the Emsar Research Company. She was a faithful member serving on the Deacon, Missionary and Usher Boards, and the Senior Choir at The Holiness Church of God for all People, under the leadership of her late brother, Bishop Henry Nathaniel Simmons.

She is survived by two sons; Michael Simmons and William Moorer both of Bridgeport; three daughters, Cynthia Moorer of Stratford, CT, Tracey Moorer of Milford and Nichelle Hairston of Bridgeport; one brother, Roosevelt ( Leola) Simmons of Norwalk, CT; fourteen grandchildren, six great grand children, and a host of nieces, nephews and a loving church family, a former special friend of many years, James Hairston. She was predeceased by two brothers, George Simmons and Overseer, Bishop Henry Nathaniel Simmons; one sister, Henrietta Bennett and one sister in-law, General Elder Irene Simmons.

Home Going Services were held at The Holiness Church of God for all People, 312 Wilmot Avenue, Bridgeport, CT, Bishop John Noble officiated.
