She was born in Lewiston, Maine, the daughter of Wesley C. and Lora R. (Bergeron) Luce. Her family moved to Farmington on the Holley Road when she was an infant. She attended the Fairbanks school and Farmington schools.
As a young woman she worked at many jobs including the cornshop and beanshop in Farmington and also worked as a waitress in local restaurants. On Nov. 3, 1934, she married Delmar Harnden in Phillips. They were married for 64 years before his death on Dec. 27, 1998.
Later she was employed at the Diamond Match Mill and the Clothespin Factory in Phillips. She loved to crochet afghans for her family and friends. She also enjoyed going to the Farmington Fair with her nieces and nephews.
She is survived by her brother, Earl Luce and his wife, Geneva, of Farmington; five nieces and two nephews, Earlene Miller, Weslene Marble, Debra Durrell, Connie Davis, Cynthia Morgan, Earl L. Luce Jr., and Wesley C. Luce, and their families.
She was predeceased by her husband, Delmar; two sisters, Eleanor Luce Parlin and Dorothy Luce Gould; and a brother, Lauris Luce.
