Jurist. He graduated from Harvard College in 1880 and Columbia University Law School in 1882. In 1884 he was admitted to the bar and began practicing law in Syracuse. In 1899 Andrews was elected to the state Supreme Court, where he served until 1917. In 1917 he became a Judge of the state Court of Appeals, serving until his 1928 retirement. He was the son of Charles Andrews, Syracuse Mayor and Chief Judge of the New York Court of Appeals.
