The following info was updated on 10 Sep 2020.

(1) Per her obituary or news article, Amy was buried in the River Bend Cemetery. River Bend is actually the Riverbank Cemetery.

(2) I found a 1901 birth record of an unnamed child born to Manly J. and Eva Shonio. The birth card says 'Male.' Although the birth is listed as a male, I believe this to be Amy. Amy was supposed to have been born circa 1901, so it could be her. If it is not, then perhaps this male is a twin to Amy and did not live long after birth? If this is not a twin, then Amy could still have been born late 1901. For now, I am going to list Amy's birth date as January 9th, 1901.

This obituary was taken from 'The Barre Daily Times' (Barre, Vermont) - Thursday, August 5, 1920 - Page 3.

The body of Amy Shonio, who went missing on July 31st; was found near a cemetery at Johnson, Vermont on the morning of August 3, 1920. It was first thought to be a suicide, but an autopsy revealed she had been operated on for an abortion, and then after the abortion was unsuccessful; she was strangled.

A subsequent police investigation found that Arthur Mudgett of Johnson, Vermont was the man believed to have committed the crime.

A trial was held in December 1920 and Mudgett was found guilty of manslaughter. Mudgett was sentenced to 35 years in the Vermont state prison.

Amy's body was returned (immediately after the autopsy) to her home town of Stowe, Vermont where she was then interred in the Riverbank Cemetery.
