Many people show their date of death as April 1862 which is a date found in military records for a man named "Jarrett Reeves" who was listed as absent without leave from his unit, 14th Arkansas Infantry. However this Jarrett Reeves is NOT Barrrester Jerden Reeves. Jarrett Reeves did not die and is found listed as late as 1876 at his home in Searcy County, Arkansas.
