He was baptized in the Lutheran faith in Denmark. He came to America with his parents in the year 1878 coming direct to Greenwood county. They located on a farm near Climax where he grew to manhood. He spent his entire life farming.
He was united in marriage to Ella Evenson on December 27, 1892 and to this union were born six children; Nadie, Sarah, Carrio, Martha, and Oley all deceased and one living son Roy of Eureka.
Mrs. Ella Agard died March 2, 1935.
Ne was united in marriage again in 1945 to Floria Blake of Clamix.
He leaves to mourn his passing, his wife, one son, Roy; seven grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
Funeral service was held at the Baird Funeral Home Sunday Junt 15, conducted by Rev. Oscar Hellestad. Interment was in Greenwood Cemetery.
Robert also went by the name Rasumus or Erasmus.
