MRS. ALTA BRYDEN FUNERAL SERVICES
Funeral services for Mrs. Alta Bryden, 88, were conducted today at 3 p.m. in the First Baptist Church in Bloomfield by the Rev. Guy Magee. Born April 18, 1874 in Tennessee, Mrs. Brydon died Sept. 3, at Green Meadows Rest Home in Dexter.
She spent most of her life in the Aid community and had for a time resided at Bloomfield. In 1894 she married Franklin C. Bryden who died may 31, 1951.
Survivors include four children, Arthur Bryden of Bourbon, Mo., Chester Bryden of St. Louis, Hubert Bryden of Longmont, Colo., and Mrs. Opal Pyatt of Leadville; 11 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, one brother, Charles Herndon of San Diego, Calif.; two sisters Mrs. Daisy Parks of Beebe, Ark., and Mrs. Alice Gladden of Doniphan.
Burial was in the Harper Cemetery near Aid with Watkins and Sons Services.
