She was survived by five sons, James Collier Scott Jr. of Porter, Ernest Wade Scott of Pampas, Paul Wayne Scott of Biloxi, MS, Roger Coy Scott of Raleigh, NC and Vaughn Otis Scott of Biloxi; three daughters, Carolyn Scott Stanley of Jacinto City, Alyce Scott Jeffcoat of Palestine and Sandra Jo Scott Mack of Santa Barbara, CA; six brothers, Olen Ashley of Palestine, Joyal Clyde Ashley, Fred Ashley and Roger Coy Ashley, all of Elkhart, John W. Ashley of Mesquite and Martin Luther Ashley of Lolita; 28 grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
Her obituary was published in the Palestine Herald-Press, Thursday, 14 August 1980.
